I am sending this request to the British Council - but have been warned that the British Council have an excellent and extensive defence system to silence complaint and conceal their failings. Do you think the information requested can be obtained by this or any other means?
23 September 2011
To: The Freedom of Information Officer
British Council

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please acknowledge receipt of this request and confirm that you will respond within twenty working days.
I apply under the terms of the Freedom of Information legislation for the following information about the British Council’s use of the Sabeel Hotel, above the Tango Nightclub, Second Circle, Amman, Jordan. The reason for this request is that the Sabeel / Tango complex was associated with the supply of sexual services and the human rights of the workers involved are unlikely to have been observed.
Please supply dates and amounts of payments made for accommodation at the Sabeel Hotel or for other services, at the Sabeel Hotel or Tango Nightclub, Second Circle, Amman, Jordan, from January 2006 to the present. This includes payments made by the British Council on behalf of staff or others.
